Welcome to the quiet corner of our gathering. In our space at OWA, we invite you to pause, put on the headphones, and tune in. During the day, this station brings together a curated playlist of sonic works rooted in our recent Liquid Resonance exhibition at the Wasserturm in Favoriten. Flowing between field recordings, acoustic explorations, and conceptual sound art, this playlist mainly features sound pieces from our community. Meanwhile, feel free to browse the selected books and readings on display, offering deeper perspectives on water and sound.

SOMATIC LISTENING SCORE — YVO KAUFMANN

Somatic listening score, guided by Yvo Kaufmann, invites participants into an opening toward somatic listening — into their own body, into the surrounding field and space, into resonance with sound, perceiving fluid textures. Weather permitting, the score takes place outdoors, attuning the body to what still flows toward us, sonically, in the closing.

Yvo Kaufmann is an artist, somatic listening facilitator, and co-curator working across art, sound, performance, and embodied practice. Their work explores how collective spaces emerge through resonance, attention, and bodily perception, drawing on ritual, movement, deep listening, and inclusive bodywork.

DUO ZORALE

Ivana Ferencova, who grew up as a Romani woman in Slovakia, spent her early years travelling from stage to stage as a singer, actress and dancer. Life has since become a little quieter, but she has remained loyal to her small yet spirited women’s choir in Vienna for 20 years now: the choir performs ‘Romane Gila’ (old treasures) and original compositions in languages including Romani, Ukrainian and Bulgarian. For the past six years, Ivana and Lilly Seirl have been brought together by their shared love of singing and recently started performing as a duo.

VOLATILE DELIVERY — JANINE JOP & LISA PULSATILLA

Volatile Delivery is a sound performance about the origins of water on Earth, bringing together flute, violin, field recordings, and electronic processing. The project explores theories suggesting that Earth acquired a significant part of its water over billions of years through collisions with countless celestial bodies, such as asteroids and comets from distant regions of the Solar System. Through a metaphorical simulation of these processes, the performance transforms these cosmic movements into sound.

Navigating between scientific research and artistic approaches, this sonic exploration invites us to encounter the vast timescales through which matter—and perhaps life itself—comes together, timescales that lie beyond the reach of human perception. The project, conceptualized by Janine Jop, joins forces with Lisa Pulsatilla and her unique musical language in a collaborative process, co-creating a shared, evocative sonic space.

In Volatile Delivery, the journey of water from bodies in outer space to Earth becomes a way of reflecting on our perceptions of time, matter, and the processes through which they take shape.

FLOW IN CIRCLE — ZLATA ZHDKV

Flow In Circle is a sound performance for water, body and audio feedback. It explores the physicality of the sound through interaction between the performer and the sounding object — the body of water. A connection emerges not through control but through attentive listening and adaptation. The sound first occurs in the water, and then flows gradually to the surrounding environment.

Zlata Zhdkv is a sound artist, musician, performer and composer based in Graz, Austria. She works with multichannel systems, complex textures and feedback instruments. Zlata experiments with tangible sounding materials like water or metal, exploring “unexpressed/able” that exists between the medium and perception levels.

DJ ROSI

DJ Rosi plays records from his heart to yours.

HIFF

hiff is a Vienna-based avid music listener and occasional DJ, currently co-hosting the experimental music event series non sai in Vienna together with Luca Carlotta.

She moves between curated mixtapes and radio shows, as well as more experimental, non-exclusively electronic sounds in a danceable environment. An itch for a broader understanding of DJing drives her to quirky places, always with the joy of listening to music collectively at heart.
