A site-sensitive gathering exploring experimental sound, collective listening and ecological attention in a Vienna forest.
Together with Less is Sound / Proto Sites, Sonic Territories invited audiences to a special site-specific gathering dedicated to experimental sound, deep listening, and ecological attention.
In a secret forest location in Vienna, the gathering explored the intersections of human and more-than-human worlds through context-sensitive concerts, participatory sound performances, and collective listening practices.
The forest was not a backdrop, but an active collaborator: rustling leaves, birdsong, insects, wind, and distant urban sounds became part of a shared acoustic ecology.
The gathering asked how the natural soundscape can be respected while creating with it as an equal artistic voice.
Less is Sound / Proto Sites is a Bratislava-based platform for experimental music, sound art, and site-responsive artistic practices.
