Magdalena Forster

A Vienna-based artist whose site-responsive work connects sound, breath, movement and sculptural instruments.

Magdalena Forster is an artist based in Vienna. In 2026 she received the H13 Performance Award from Kunstraum Niederösterreich. With a group iteration of Echo Body she was invited to the 8:tension Young Choreographers Series at ImPulsTanz Festival.

Her works Bile (2023) and Hearth (2025) were co-produced by Tanzquartier Wien and supported by the Cultural Department of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport. Her work has been presented at Tanzquartier Wien, ImPulsTanz Festival, Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Kunsthaus Zürich, Sonic Territories Festival and other venues across Europe.
