Serena Lee

Serena Lee is interested in how energy circulates. Her artistic research plays with time-based media, including cinema, movement, installation, sound, writing, and collective study. Parallel to several long-term local and international collaborations, Serena’s films, solo exhibitions and performances have been shared at the Images Festival (Toronto), Casco Art Institute (Utrecht), Cubitt (London), VBKÖ (Vienna), Or Gallery (Vancouver), transmediale (Berlin), Whitechapel Gallery (London) among others. Serena completed a PhD at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, focusing on the martial art of taijiquan as a methodology for embodied research.
