Jakob Schauer „End of Resilience”
AT
live, world premiere
End of Resilience explores the fragile limits of emotional endurance—the moment when resilience gives way and emotional overload erupts, offering unexpected liberation. It marks a point of surrender, when overwhelming grief or emotion can no longer be contained. In that breaking, there is a quiet release unfolding a sense of liberation within the sorrow. You may feel your chest expand, every pore of your body alive and open, as the weight you’ve carried begins to lift and disperse.
On October 17th, 2025 at our official festival opening, Austrian composer and sound artist Jakob Schauer presents the world premiere of his new cycle of works “End of Resilience” at the Erlöserkirche in Vienna’s 2nd district. This compelling concert features solo works for organ and electronics, an innovative composition for organ and fixed media and a striking piece for organ and four waveform generators. The program explores and ultimately breaks through the limits of emotional endurance. An evening full of experimental sounds, drones, sonic spheres and noise.
