Sara Persico & Mika Oki „Sphaîra“

Sara Persico and Mika Oki embarked on an adventurous audiovisual collaboration inspired by Sara’s album, which features field recordings from the experimental concrete theatre with its impressive dome structure built by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in Tripoli, northern Lebanon. “Sphaîra” is designed for deep contemplation and aims to recreate the dome’s energy, using dense light scenography and sound storytelling to transport the audience inside the structure itself.

This audiovisual performance invites spectators to embark on a mesmerizing journey, where the boundaries between external stimuli and internal perception blur.

The slow, meditative pace of the visuals encourages inward reflection, challenging the viewer’s perception and dissolving the boundary between reality and imagination. Ultimately, “Sphaîra” is a unique exploration of light, form, and consciousness, offering a profound sensory experience aimed at expanding the viewer’s awareness.
