Unter der Leitung von Richard Eigner werden Studentinnen und Studenten der Universität für angewandte Kunst ortsspezifische Interventionen entwickeln, die von Installationen bis zu Performances reichen können. Die Arbeiten werden im Rahmen eines mehrtägigen Workshops in der Seestadt entstehen und sich sowohl akustisch, als auch visuell auf die außergewöhnlichen Gegebenheiten des Wiener Stadtteils beziehen. Aspekte wie Reflexionen von Schall durch Betonmauern oder von dem fast omnipräsenten Wind verursachte Geräusche sind mögliche Startpunkte der Spurensuche in der seestädtlichen Klangsphäre.

Site-specific Sound Installations and Performances

Cooperation with University of Applied Arts / TransArts

Under the direction of Richard Eigner, students of the University of Applied Arts will develop site-specific interventions, which can range from installations to performances. The works will be created in the course of a workshop in the Seestadt and will refer both acoustically and visually to the extraordinary conditions of the Vienna district. Aspects such as reflections of sound through concrete walls or noises caused by the almost omnipresent wind are possible starting points for the search for traces in the “Seestadt”-sound sphere.
